Experiences We Love

Dana Eating House

 Birthday Celebration

We have had the pleasure of dining at Dana Eating House on a number of occasions. We have eaten at Dana for lunch and dinner, as a couple and in larger groups.  It has been faultless each time.  The modern Asian food is fresh, innovative and absolutely delicious. The wine list is always full of interesting choices and the friendly and knowledgeable wait staff are only too happy to help with finding the right one for you.  Tasmanian wines are a feature and are usually what ends up in our glasses.  We LOVE the 'feed me' menus at Dana.  There are two available and both are worth exploring.  The food is seasonal so each visit is an opportunity to try some new and tasty options.

Our last visit was a very quick one as we had to squeeze a birthday dinner for our son, James, in before he headed to a rehearsal(Croon at the Theatre Royal).  Dana was a good option as it was close and we knew the food would be good.  We checked about the timing of the 'feed me' option and the lovely waiter reassured us that it would fine.  And he was right!  The food came out in a very timely manner and we enjoyed every morsel.  Sadly, James had to leave us to have dessert without him.  We certainly enjoyed the very Asian influenced options.

One of our party has an allergy and this was catered for beautifully without impacting on the tastiness of the food at all.  There was so much food - we certainly didn't leave hungry!

Wheelchair access is pretty good.  There is a slight step at the front door but there is an alternative access if needed.  The toilets are downstairs but I think there may be a wheelchair accessible toilet on the street level.

There is also a private dining room which is lovely for a group as it has a round dining table and plenty of space in the middle for food.

The cocktail list is extensive and looks amazing.  We have always been driving so haven't been able to indulge but maybe one day...
